I Heart Brio

Going fast on ebay - a number of mint in box Brio sets. My particular favorites are the table and egg chair set, and the pink bedroom set.

It's taking an immense strength of will, but I'm not bidding. Taxes, real estate taxes and a particularly strenuous dollhouse spree last month have me on a credit card diet. *sigh* These are gorgeous though.

Update: the bedroom sold for $75 and the egg chair/table set was bid up to $158.49 without meeting the reserve. Eek.

  1. ME TOO! I actually got outbid on the chair and table today. I stopped bidding at $50. I am SO overbudget. I also got outbid on the two Brio Mobilia items offered last week - the office set and the table/chair. They went for $122!! I hope some come up again... :(

  2. Hi. I love your blog and has put you on my bloglist (hope it's okay?), since I also prefer the more modern dollhouse furniture.

Luckily for me I got the egg chair and table as a child from my parents and they are still in mint condition. But now you can buy the egg chairs from Minimii in the same scale for about 60 dollars. (399 danish kroner) I really would like one of the purple ones!

  3. Hi Pubdoll,

Thanks for adding me on your bloglist - I'm glad you enjoy the blog. How lucky that your parents got you that incredible egg chair and table set (and that they didn't get destroyed through childhood play - I'm sure if I had one, it wouldn't have survived)!

Thank you also for the tip on Minimii. I've been watching their site eagerly for updates on the new house.

  4. Hey callsmall,

It's so silly, but watching that bedset go was agonizing! I particularly love the white vanity/desk. My credit card (and Husband) thank me for my will power though. Heh.

As Pubdoll indicated though, maybe we have some hope from Minimii - they look to be gradually expanding their furniture line.
